Kill Switch by Chris Lynch

Standard

3/5 stars

Daniel, the main character, lives at home with his family and his grandfather. His grandfather seems rather eccentric, with intense ideals and opinions on the world. His grandfather, Da, is also loosing his mind to Alzheimer’s. Da starts to reveal (on accident due to his dementia) that he might not have been in the agricultural business after all, but perhaps something far more sinister. Be prepared for a bit of gore if you decide to read this book.

Kill Switch was quite short, and I think that affected the development of the characters as well as the plot. The plot felt rushed, and the characters seemed not as detailed as they could have been. I wish the book had been longer, more detailed, more explained, more everything. And it just wasn’t exactly believable the way it was, or as good as it maybe could have been.
